UNFPA Myanmar Annual Report 2018
In 2018, UNFPA Myanmar provided integrated sexual and reproductive health and rights/gender-based violence services to over 200,000 conflict-affected people; supplied US$1.3 million worth of contraceptives; reached over 70,000 youth with sexual and reproductive health and rights information and services; and trained 1,300 township stakeholders in hard-to-reach areas to use census data for development.

Violence against women and girls takes many forms of sexual, physical, emotional and economic abuse. One in three women worldwide experience gender-based violence in their lifetime.

UNFPA Myanmar Annual Report 2017
In 2017, UNFPA completed its third country programme in Myanmar – a programme that was extended to six years to become aligned with the country’s transition and first democratically elected government. The fourth country programme, from 2018 to 2022, will see UNFPA mark 50 years of development, humanitarian and peacebuilding support in Myanmar.
