UNFPA Myanmar Annual Report 2016
Census data shows that Myanmar can harness a double dividend – both youth and gender. This year’s annual report provides many facets of the journey to gender equality. It tells a story of widening horizons for women and girls who are capable in their own right. It is also a story of women fulfilling their reproductive rights, and of couples having access to family planning choices.

Nationwide Youth Information Corners Situation Analysis Report
This report, “A Nationwide Situation Analysis on Youth Information Corners” was prepared by the Health Education Division and the Department of Public Health in collaboration with UNFPA. The report is based on comprehensive information collected by the analysis exercise undertaken in selected YICs by well-organized and trained teams during March to August 2015. This is the frst situation analysis of the Youth Information Corners in over a decade. The analysis is based on self-assessments, a situation check questionnaire, interviews with key YIC focal persons, Community Support Group (CSG) members and young people, and focus group discussions.

Powerful Myths Hidden Secrets
This assessment is the first of its kind to be conducted in the south-eastern region of Myanmar. It is an important contribution to ensuring the full inclusion of women and children in Myanmar’s political, social, and cultural systems, with a specific focus on the issue of gender-based violence (GBV) and its impact on these groups in south-eastern Myanmar. The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) is grateful for the participation of women, men, boys and girls from Mon, Kayin and Kayah States for sharing their views and experiences during the study.


Five-Year Strategic Plan for Young People's Health (2016-2020)
Attaining highest level of health in young people to ensure that every young person’s potential is fulfilled is one of the core priorities of Myanmar Health Vision 2030. To this end the national Strategic Plan for young people’s health is developed. This requires increasing access to information and services, and creating safe and protective environments for young people to improve their health and wellbeing including health system strengthening, development of human resources for health with skills to engage with young people and provide youth friendly health services, health research and strengthening collaboration with national and international partners.
