Behaviour Change Communication Master Plan for Reproductive Health
Behaviour Change Communication is an integral component of UNFPA's Special Programme of Assistance in Myanmar. The Programme was launched in 2002, and as the first UNFPA multi-year programme in Myanmar, will cover the period from 2002 to 2005.
Myanmar Reproductive Health Baseline Community Survey 2002
The purpose of the 2002 Reproductive Health Baseline Community Survey is to obtain detailed baseline information on the level of knowledge & practice of the communities on the various aspects of reproductive health in the townships.
Myanmar Fertility and Reproductive Health Survey 2001: Preliminary Report
The 2001 Fertility and Reproductive Health Survey (FRHS) is the third survey to obtain detailed information on demography and reproductive health in Myanmar. The first survey was 1991 Population Changes and Fertility Survey (PCFS) and the second was the 1997 FRHS.
An Evaluation of the Myanmar Birth Spacing Project
UNFPA provided US$3.6 million over 1996 to 1999 to help Myanmar expand its birth spacing (BS) services, not oniy in terms of additional sites (from 20 townships in 1995 to 72 in 1996), but also in terms of additional types of contraceptives (pills, injectables, IUDs and condoms). An external Evaluation Team was asked to assess progress to date in strengthening local capacity to do this. The team examined the five major targets of this capacity-building strategy: 1) training; 2) information, education and communication (IEC); 3) service delivery; 4) management information; and 5) project management. The evaluation was conducted between mid-September and mid-October 1999.
A Reproductive Health Needs Assessment in Myanmar (1999)
This report contains the findings and recommendations in a holistic view, which will be incorporated into the country’s reproductive health programme. While this study focused on a situation analysis of reproductive health and its needs, it affirms the critical, as well as essential role, of reproductive health in Myanmar's development.
Assessment Workshop on HRD Indicators (Workshop Report)
The Department of Labour of the Ministry of Labour has been carrying out the activities of the project MYA/94/P03: Use of Human Resource Development Indicators for the Population and Development Planning Process with the financial and technical assistance of UNFPA since December 1994. In accordance with the work plan of the project, one seminar and three workshops were undertaken step by step and also this final workshop was successfully conducted in February 1997. Therefore, the report on this workshop has to be prepared not only for the documentary purpose but an out-come of the workshop.
