The materials are packaged in a Census Toolkit and include the following publications in both Myanmar and English:
• Union Census report
• Highlights of the Main Census results
• A Report for each respective State/Region
• Union Figures at a Glance
• Figures at a Glance for each respective State/Region
• A wall chart with 42 indicators for each State/Region down to the District Level
• A DVD containing all the above documents
Distribution of the first batch of the Census materials began at the beginning of August and ended during the third week of September. From November to early December, the second batch of materials will be distributed. Once distribution is complete across the fifteen States and Regions of the country, 74 Districts, 330 Townships and 83 sub-townships will have received the Census materials.
These materials are intended for all community groups interested, involved or engaged in their local development, in addition to local authorities who have planning and policy responsibilities. Therefore it is essential for INGOs/NGOs and CSOs/CBOs including women's associations, ethnic leaders, religious leaders, research institutions, youth networks, the private sector, academics and other organisations wishing to obtain a copy of the Census materials, to contact their local Immigration Office. This will ensure they have credible and reliable data for planning and development in their respective fields. The DoP has explained in writing to local authorities that the materials are for all organisations and key community leaders.
