On this World Population Day, Department of Social Welfare’s Director-General, Dr. San San Aye remarks the collaborative action to response COVID-19 impact on women and girls, “Together with UN agencies including UNFPA, we are working closely to prevent and respond gender-based violence cases as well as provide psycho-social support training for services providers.”

This year's celebration was held in Nay Pyi Taw with the theme “Putting the brakes on COVID-19: how to safeguard the health and rights of women and girls now.”
