Violence against women and girls takes many forms of sexual, physical, emotional and economic abuse. One in three women worldwide experience gender-based violence in their lifetime.

အမ်ိဳးသမီးနဲ႔ မိန္းကေလးငယ္မ်ားအေပၚ အၾကမ္းဖက္မႈကုိ  လိင္ပုိင္းဆုိင္ရာ၊ ရုပ္ပုိင္းဆုိင္ရာ၊ စိတ္ခံစားမႈပုိင္းဆုိင္ရာႏွင့္ စီးပြားေရးဆုိင္ရာ အၾကမ္းဖက္မႈစသည့္ အသြင္သ႑န္မ်ိဳးစုံနဲ႔ ေတြ႔ျမင္ႏုိင္ပါသည္။ ကမၻာအႏွံ႔အျပားတြင္ အမ်ိဳးသမီး ၃ ဦးလွ်င္ ၁ ဦးမွာ အၾကမ္းဖက္ခံေနရလွ်က္ရွိသည္။
