What: Launch of the Main Results of the 2014 Population and Housing Census

President U Thein Sein will open the ceremony presenting principal findings of Myanmar’s first census in over 30 years, on the population’s demographic characteristics and living conditions. Other speakers: Mr. Vijay Nambiar, Special Adviser to the UN Secretary-General on Myanmar; Minister for Immigration and Population U Khin Yi; and Ms. Lubna Baqi of UNFPA, the United Nations Population Fund.
