Senior Poverty Economist for Myanmar at the World Bank
Reena Badiani-Magnusson is the Senior Poverty Economist for Myanmar at the World Bank. She has been based in Yangon since 2014. Her work includes supporting the development of the statistical system, conducting analysis of the situation of the poorest people of Myanmar, and lending a hand to M&E for projects and programs. Reena has previously worked on surveys, poverty analysis and social protection in Thailand, Vietnam, India and DR Congo, Reena holds a PhD from the Economic Growth Center at the Department of Economics at Yale.
