Mr. Ronnie Andersson
Former the Director of the International Consulting Office at Statistics Sweden
Mr. Andersson is a census expert who has led numerous population censuses and international missions providing technical assistance through Statistics Sweden for nearly 40 years. His expertise is in education statistics and population censuses. He was the Director of the International Consulting Office at Statistics Sweden for three years and the Team Leader for Statistics Sweden’s Balkan Project Office in Belgrade for almost two years. After his retirement in 2011 Mr. Andersson has been working as an independent consultant in statistics.
Mr. Andersson has worked with population censuses in eight countries; Sweden, Zimbabwe, Laos, Albania, Myanmar, Moldova, as well as Cayman Islands and Kosovo, two countries where he also worked as the Chief Statistician. He has had a crucial role in Myanmar 2014 Population and Housing Census, working with census questionnaires, the field manuals and coding issues while also being a member of the ITAB and serving as an independent observer during the enumeration.
Mr. Andersson, a native of Sweden, holds a Master’s Degree in Political Science and Philosophy and a Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics from the University of Lund, Sweden.
