VIDEO: Myanmar's census aims to impact development in Pa-O communities

  • The estimated 600,000 Pa-O living in Shan State constitute the state’s second largest ethnic group, after the Shan. In Hopong, capital of the Pa-O Self-Administered Zone, the zone’s Chairman, U Khum San Lwin, said that accurate data generated from the census would be critical in steering Myanmar’s political, economic and social development.
